Sentry pricing in 2026, and how to keep your error-monitoring bill down

Sentry's plan prices are low. The bill grows because of volume: errors, logs, replays and monitors. This post covers what each plan includes, what's billed on top, and the habits that keep the number stable as your app grows.

All prices below were checked on the vendors' own pricing pages on 3 November 2026.

Sentry's plans

From Sentry's pricing page, in USD per month:

Team$29$26Unlimited50,000Up to 90 days
Business$89$80Unlimited50,000Up to 90 days, plus sampled retention

Every plan includes 5 GB of logs, 5 GB of application metrics, 5M spans, 50 session replays, 1 uptime monitor and 1 cron monitor. Team and Business list additional error volume as "see pricing", without a per-event rate on the main page. Check your expected volume in Sentry's calculator before you commit.

What each step up adds

  • Developer: error monitoring and tracing for one person, email alerts and release health.
  • Team: unlimited users, the API and third-party integrations, alerts through integrated tools, spend notifications and a maximum spend threshold, and SSO through Google or GitHub.
  • Business: SAML SSO and SCIM, Code Owners, anomaly detection, advanced inbound filtering and quota management, and a BAA for HIPAA.
  • Enterprise: a technical account manager, dedicated support and custom data retention.

Team to Business is a $54 a month jump on annual billing, or $648 a year. Most of what it adds is identity and compliance. If you don't need SAML, SCIM or a BAA, Team usually covers a small engineering org.

What's billed on usage

These are the rates listed for usage beyond what's included:

Add-onPrice
Logs$0.50 per GB
Application metrics$0.50 per GB
Uptime monitors$1.00 per alert
Cron monitors$0.78 per monitor
UI profiling$0.25 per hour, paid plans with pay-as-you-go
Continuous profiling$0.0315 per hour, paid plans with pay-as-you-go

Sentry's AI debugging agent, Seer, is listed as a separate subscription at additional cost.

How to cut the bill

1. Set a maximum spend. Team and above include spend notifications and a maximum spend threshold. Set one before anything else, so a bad release can't produce a surprise invoice.

2. Fix or ignore your noisiest errors. A few recurring errors usually make up most of the volume. Sort issues by event count, fix the top ones, and stop sending the ones you've decided not to fix.

3. Sample high-volume events. Sentry's SDKs let you send a percentage of events instead of all of them. For a high-traffic app, sampling routine errors and traces keeps the signal while cutting the volume.

4. Turn down replays and profiling. Replays and profiling are useful for debugging, but they add volume fast. Enable them for the pages or services where you actually use them.

5. Keep logs out of Sentry when another tool already stores them. At $0.50 per GB beyond the included 5 GB, it's cheap, but paying twice for the same logs adds up.

6. Don't buy Business for one feature. If the only reason is SAML SSO, check whether Google or GitHub SSO on Team meets your security policy first.

What about Rollbar?

Rollbar's pricing page lists a free plan with 5,000 occurrences and 1,000 replays a month, unlimited users and 30 days of retention. Its paid Essentials and Advanced plans list included volume from 10K to 50M occurrences a month, but no dollar prices were shown when we checked. The page says annual billing gets two months free and offers a 14-day trial of Advanced.

The free plans are a useful comparison point. Sentry's free plan has one user and 5,000 errors. Rollbar's has 5,000 occurrences and unlimited users. For a small team on a side project, that difference matters. For anything bigger, get a Rollbar quote at your real volume and compare it with Sentry's calculator.

What to do with this

  1. Look at last month's event volume and which issues drove it.
  2. Set a spend cap, then cut the noisiest sources.
  3. Price your real volume on Sentry and get a Rollbar quote before renewal. Our guide to negotiating a SaaS renewal covers the timing.
