Pipedrive vs Close pricing in 2026, plan by plan
Pipedrive and Close are both CRMs built for small sales teams, and both price per seat. The headline numbers look close. The real difference is which tier unlocks automation, and how much that tier costs. This post lines up the plans so you can price your team before a demo call.
All prices below were checked on the vendors' own pricing pages on 1 November 2026.
Pipedrive
From Pipedrive's pricing page, per seat per month, billed annually:
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Lite | $14 |
| Growth | $39 |
| Premium | $59 |
| Ultimate | $79 |
The page says annual billing saves "up to 42%" but doesn't show monthly prices, so check checkout if you want to pay monthly. Prices exclude VAT, and every plan has a 14-day free trial.
What each step up adds:
- Lite: lead, calendar and pipeline management, AI report creation, and 500+ integrations.
- Growth: full email sync with tracking, automations and nurturing sequences, forecast reports, a meeting scheduler, and live chat support.
- Premium: lead generation and routing, lead scoring and company data enrichment, contracts and e-signatures, and more customisation.
- Ultimate: extra account security rules and alerts, phone and email data enrichment, a sandbox account, and extended phone support.
Close
From Close's pricing page, per user per month. The page has a monthly/annual toggle ("save up to 50%") and shows two prices per plan, the lower one for annual billing:
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $19 | $9 | 1 user, 10,000 leads, no workflows |
| Essentials | $49 | $35 | Unlimited leads, no workflows |
| Growth | $109 | $99 | Workflows, power dialer, bulk email |
| Scale | $149 | $139 | Permissions, predictive dialer |
Every plan includes unlimited contacts and 250 custom fields. Calling is charged on usage, on top of the seat price, and Close says phone lines start at $1 per line per month. There's a 14-day trial, and the page mentions a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What each step up adds:
- Solo: the core CRM for one person.
- Essentials: team collaboration, built-in email, calling and SMS, a shared inbox and task list.
- Growth: automated workflows, a power dialer, custom activities, bulk email, and more AI credits.
- Scale: role-based permissions, lead visibility rules, a predictive dialer, unlimited call recording retention, and live call coaching.
Where the tiers bite
Automation is the big gap. On Pipedrive, automations and email sequences arrive on Growth at $39. On Close, workflows aren't included until Growth at $99 on annual billing. If you need automated follow-ups, Pipedrive's entry point is much cheaper.
Calling is built into Close. Close includes calling, SMS and email on Essentials, and its higher tiers add power and predictive dialers. Pipedrive's plans, as listed, focus on pipeline and email. Teams that live on the phone should compare Close against Pipedrive plus whatever calling tool they'd add, not Pipedrive alone.
Monthly billing costs more on Close. Close's annual discount is largest on Solo and much smaller on Growth and Scale. If you're not ready to commit for a year, budget on the monthly column.
Solo plans are for one person. Close Solo is limited to 1 user. If you're hiring a second rep soon, price Essentials instead.
What a five-person sales team pays
Every seat on annual billing:
| Option | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|
| Pipedrive Lite | $70 | $840 |
| Pipedrive Growth | $195 | $2,340 |
| Pipedrive Premium | $295 | $3,540 |
| Close Essentials | $175 | $2,100 |
| Close Growth | $495 | $5,940 |
Calling usage on Close and any add-ons on either are extra. For a team that needs automated sequences, the like-for-like comparison is Pipedrive Growth at $195 against Close Growth at $495 a month. For a team that mostly needs a shared pipeline with built-in calling, Close Essentials at $175 is the closer match.
How to cut the bill
- Start one tier lower than the sales demo suggests. Both vendors let you upgrade later. Trial the lower tier first.
- Count active reps. Former employees and occasional users often keep paid seats. Remove them before renewal.
- Check what you already pay for. E-signatures, scheduling and data enrichment are bundled into Pipedrive's higher tiers. If you already pay for DocuSign or Calendly, you may not need them.
- Negotiate annual terms. Get the annual price in writing, and use a quote from the other vendor as leverage. Our guide to negotiating a SaaS renewal covers the timing.
What to do with this
Pick by what drives your upgrade. Automation-first teams get more for less from Pipedrive Growth. Phone-heavy teams should price Close Essentials or Growth, including calling usage.
